This months reading is Nostalgia

In Nostalgia by local playwright David King, a junk dealer finds himself in possession of a stolen artwork, and is torn between collecting the reward and flipping it on the black market, when a mysterious woman shows up looking for an Edison era phonograph player on which she can hear a wax cylinder recording that was bequeathed to her by an elderly gentleman friend. A comedy.

DAVID KING has written extensively for the stage as well as for radio, television and film. Among his many works are Jessie Award winning Plays, Life Skills and Garage Sale. His script for his NFB film, For Gentlemen Only earned him a Genie Award. His screenplay for the feature film, Harmony Cats was nominated for a Genie Award. Mr. King has also acted on the stage and for film and T.V. and has contributed humour articles to the Vancouver Sun newspaper.
